What is Club Volleyball?
Club volleyball provides a competitive level of play for girls who are interested in improving their skills and gaining the experience necessary to play in high school and beyond. Teams are divided by age and skill level after a tryout is held for the individual club. A typical club season will last from approximately November to June, depending on the competition schedule for the team.
Each club will hold their own tryout (a fee is usually involved to cover expenses), typical teams are made up of 10-12 players. Teams, by age group, will range from 10 and Under to 18. Players are selected for a team after the club’s tryout and are offered a spot with a contract that provides a commitment to the club for the season. Teams will then begin practice in the November timeframe for approximately 2-3 times a week. Weekend tournament competition generally starts in December or January with approximately 1-3 tournaments a month.
