How long does the club season last?
Practices begin in November. Tournaments run from December (some teams) through the mid/end of April for the regular season. Black teams will have an AAU season included in their fee and it is mandatory. Orange teams may choose to attend AAU nationals (June) and continue their season after the regular season. If the Black teams win a bid to the USAV National Championship via one of the qualifier tournaments, then the season will continue until the Championship event held in late June/early July.

Club fees are used to cover the club’s operating expenses. It covers coach’s stipend, gym rental, uniform (game jersey & training gear), USA Volleyball certification, tournament entry fees, equipment, insurances, hotel and other administrative/miscellaneous costs.
Note: Club fees does not guarantee playing time. Playing time is earned at practice sessions.
-
Are there additional expenses to expect?
You can anticipate travel expenses for a few tournaments per season; such as gas, food, and possibly hotel stays. Group rates, carpooling, and room sharing are often used to minimize these expenses. These costs vary depending on level of team as some teams don’t travel as far as other teams. Additionally, if the Orange teams that are not included in the AAU tournament at the beginning of the season choose to participate in the AAU tournament in June, there will be additional fees. Also if a National Team (Black) wins a bid to the USAV National tournament, typically held in June/July, then the members of that team will be charged an additional fee to cover the costs associated with this tournament!
